With all the hoopla surrounding our nation’s politics and the economic struggles world wide I thought it would be a good time for a case study in where the current administration’s ideology and subsequent governance are leading this nation.

It is no longer a debate whether or not the extreme left is pro socialism. And it is also no longer a debate whether or not Obama is governing from the extreme left of our political society. A lot of examples of other governments evolution exist that can give us insight into how the same policies being laid out for us today fared when done in other countries. But I figured why not look at an example that is current. When you do, realize that the same ideology that led to this is the same as the current administration. The country, to which I refer, of course is France.

You remember them don’t you? Have you been there lately? Do you know how bad things are there? Here is a BBC Headline from this week regarding some of the struggles that nation is facing:

Commuters at the Gare Saint-Lazare train station in Paris on 19/3/09

French commuters face a limited rail service because of the strike

***”Hundreds of thousands of French workers are expected to join the country’s second nationwide strike in two months.

Unions are protesting against President Nicolas Sarkozy’s economic policies. Unemployment has reached two million and is expected to rise further.

Demonstrations are planned in about 200 towns and cities. Many schools are closed and public transport disrupted.“***

Pretty scary stuff indeed. This is a country that had adopted a socialist agenda years ago. They have nationalized health care. They have one of the biggest welfare programs in the world. Income taxes are so high some are better off not working. They were promised change and that is exactly what they got.

They now have a conservative leader because the people lost faith in the agenda and ideology of what their democracy had voted for. Only thing is they are at the point of no return and now they complain because he is trying to cut spending, implement strong immigration control, and lead them back to a path of fiscal conservatism. But their government has become too big and they have a majority of the people dependent on it. A free competitive market and individual liberties are probably lost forever in that country.

England is right behind France as is Amsterdam and others. These are all democratic societies and the people voted for it. But a politician can say anything during a campaign and is not held accountable for it. And as documented in the book ” Rules for Radicals” by Saul Alinsky, the way to infiltrate and win office while hiding a socialist agenda in a capitalist society with democratic elections is to align yourself with the middle and lower class, which is always the majority and tend to be easily swayed. Then you promise them money, jobs, and lower taxes for them and the people who have succeeded and earned a lot of money will pay the way for them. Class warfare 101

Well my friends that is what the future holds for this country if the current path the government is on is not changed. To be fair we were headed down this path already. But it has just been sped up by a large margin with the current administration in charge. The campaign promises are in the review mirror and the corruption, the lies and of course the spending, in just the first 50 days is unprecedented in the history of our nation. Hope and change has turned into fear and despair.

There is still hope though. It is not too late. We just need to wake up the masses and make sure they start voting with their own minds and not based on some liberal biased machine (main stream media). I do not want to try to convince anyone of who to vote for per say. More like what to vote for. And to hold politicians accountable. If people like Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, Nancy Pelosi and plenty others, not least of which obviously is “the great fake one” Obama, get reelected, well then the nation gets what it deserves.

I already see the tide turning. And I prefer to be optimistic. Eventually people start to see through the cloud of lies and deceit. And as in the past, this country tends to come together in times of need and persevere. I truly believe we will again.

But it is not going to happen by ignoring it. You have to be aware and educate yourself. Don’t just think there is nothing you can do, or that it is too late, or that no matter what the government is corrupt anyway. But if you do, then just please continue to be silent about it because it is you that is the problem not just the government, which I admit has corruption on both sides of the isle.

It can change. It has multiple times in our history. The majority voted for change just 5 short months ago. It just happened to be change they WANTED to believe instead of change they can believe in. We still need change, just remember change is not always better as is being proven everyday in 2009. We are currently seeing change that will turn us into just another economic waste land ala, well jut pick any one of the euro countries…
