Well today is the big guys birthday. He is turning 45,  but the loser acts more like he is 12 sometimes, well a lot of times, heck just about all the time. But in spite of that this post is going out to him to wish him the happiest of days.

At first I was writing up a GTOKid roast post.  – [Wow that is great, "roast - post", see it rhymes. My supernatural artistic gifts at work again!] – But that is just too “normal” for me. So I figured I would change it up and get serious for a moment. – [Quick hide the women and children as this must be a sign of the apocalypse!] -

All right now serious.

As this obviously being a public view letter I am not writing this “to” him per say but more “about” him, in honor of his birthday. To not only let him know how special I think he is but to let all the loyal madmos.com readers know (we may have as many as 4 now!!! – haha).

But my brother John – aka GTOKid is one heck of a person, one heck of a brother, and to an even greater extent one heck of a father.

My brother and I spend A LOT of time on the phone together, which is not a complaint I enjoy the conversations and I believe he does too (then again this is me we are talking about). It may not always be the most engaging conversation, but when you are on a call long enough that you kill 2 fully charged cordless phones and half of a third during the call there is only so much intellectual thought that can happen. Even for 2 brilliant, intelligent, witty, charming and otherwise almost perfect men. (darn it need to stay serious, at least i did not make fun of John…yet) So needless to say I know just about everything in regards to what is going on day to day in his life. I can tell you, more often than not, he is talking about something involving his kids. Whether it be their involvement in various sports, which John coaches on the teams as well, school, or just day to day stupid things that kids do. I am truly proud of what a great father he has turned out to be. I do not have any kids myself but if I did I could only hope to be as good a father as John. That says more about his character than any thing I can bring to the argument. And it is something I will always admire about him.

There are so many things about John that make him a special brother, friend and confidant to me. And he did more for me than anyone in my adolescent years. Took me to sporting events, concerts, clubs etc… But lets not get out of hand with the gushing here. I am just lucky to have a brother like him and my only regret is that we live so far apart that we don’t get to see each other, and each others families nearly enough. As it is, regretfully,  with me and everyone in my family :(

So that is just a little insight into the man that is GTOKid. I leave you all with a slide show of some of my finer memories with him. Trust me this was not easy as he avoids the camera even more than I do. My favorite spot is behind a camera not in front of one as is his. But I dug through literally 1000′s of pictures dating back to 1998 to come up with this and this is everything I have digitally.

I put some music in the background so volume etiquette is called for if you are dwelling in a cubicle at work.

Enjoy m/

Madmos, you have gone soft in your semi-old age. Leave the nice stuff about the GTO KID but lets turn up the burner to high and get to roasting!

    Happy birthday John!

“Even for 2 brilliant, intelligent, witty, charming and otherwise almost perfect men.” Just wanted to add, you do realize you got those traits from your mother.
